WineGB is the trade association and marketing body for UK wine. We cultivate success for our 500 grower and producer members which represents circa 70% of UK hectarage. We represent the industry to the Government, media, and trade. WineGB provides our members with timely, accurate resources, from guidance and toolkits, to training and marketing access, in order to help their businesses grow. At the heart of our work, we help members to make wine, market wine and tell the story.
We are at a pivotal point in the development of English and Welsh wine and WineGB is a critical support to the industry as it matures. WineGB is halfway through its own change programme focusing on building up the fundamentals required for members to take this sector forward. This work includes a specific work streamto build a stronger body including work to ensure that we are resilient, transformed and well governed.
Headed by new Chair Charlie Holland, the Board is fundamental to the delivery of the programme. The Board benefits from the voluntary work from a large number of committed volunteers from within the membership who give their time and expertise to drive this sector onward. We are most grateful for the time given, collegiality shown, and we aim for our volunteers to feel appreciated and understand the value that they bring to our whole community.
To support this mission, we are actively recruiting for an upcoming vacancy for a Band A Director to join our Board of Directors. This critical role is dedicated to representing our boutique and mid-sized producers, ensuring that the voice, unique challenges, and insights of vineyards under 15 hectares directly shape our strategic decisions. By bringing fresh perspectives to our leadership team and planning smoothly for board transitions, this appointment will help maintain a balanced, agile governance structure fully equipped to guide the English and Welsh wine industry forward.
