WineGB is the secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for domestic wines. The APPG is the informal group for Parliamentarians most interested in UK wines. We share our information and host events to encourage them to make our case.
The appg
There has been an APPG for British wines since 2017.
We are grateful for the support of the cross-party group of MPs who advocate for our sector.
The purpose of the Wine of Great Britain APPG is to help identify how Whitehall departments, in conjunction with Members of the House of Common and House of Lords, can support domestic producers of wine from grapes grown across the UK.
It is to help ensure that relevant UK legislation and regulations, innovative support, and UK free trade agreements, can help deliver a sustainable, profitable sector for the domestic and export markets.
