Ferovinum
Ferovinum is a working capital platform that provides capital to businesses within the wine and spirits sector to fund inventory and accounts receivable.
In 2020, it launched a product tailor-made for UK sparkling wine producers and has since funded over one million bottles through the platform and helped producers invest for growth.
This product is particularly relevant for traditional method sparkling wine producers in the UK, given the capital-intensive production cycle and current opportunities for brand-building and wine tourism. Knight Frank
The Knight Frank Viticulture Team is focused on supporting vineyard managers and wine producers who make quality still and sparkling wine from grapes grown in Britain. The team can identify bare land suitable for vines, using their in-house geospatial vineyard mapping software to identify important variables like soil type, altitude, frost risk, slope direction, gradient and road access. Once suitable land has been identified, Knight Frank can help clients negotiate with landowners to buy or rent land. Once the land is secured, their planning team help clients secure planning consent for wineries, bottle stores and visitors’ centres. Knight Frank’s Viticulture team also offer a placemaking-led diversification service to help vineyards and wineries increase the quality and quantity of footfall to their winery. By deliberately clustering complementary businesses, uses and activities around the winery, it becomes more interesting and attractive from the perspective of the consumer.
