Judging will take place between 3 and 6 June at Sandridge Barton in Devon with a panel of amazing judges, co-chaired by Susie Barrie MW, Oz Clarke OBE, and Peter Richards MW.

As you’re aware, we’ve always been determined to keep this competition relevant, rigorous and dynamic, and to that end we also take with us some fresh faces on the judging panel and a new co-chair, Peter Richards MW, who I’m sure will be familiar to you all! What won’t change is our enthusiasm and excitement to taste and award as many of the UK’s finest wines as you give us the opportunity and privilege to. The medal results will be announced on 20 June. Trophies will be unveiled at the WineGB Awards Celebration Lunch on 19 July at the Drapers’ Hall, London.

Nestled in a picturesque valley in the South Hams, Sandridge Barton Wines may appear to be a new face on the UK wine scene, but its Devon-based vineyards and winery have been growing grapes and making wine since 1981. Producing over 80 tonnes of fruit per year from its current 32-acre vineyards and set in a south-facing bowl overlooking the River Dart, its vineyards are planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Madeleine Angevine, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc.
