First ever urban wineries consumer event for a Knock-Your-Socks-Off Consumer Event: The Inaugural Collaboration of London Cru, Blackbook, Vagabond, and Renegade

London’s vibrant urban winery scene is set to make history with the announcement of the first-ever
collaborative consumer event, bringing together urban wineries: London Cru, Blackbook, Vagabond, and Renegade.

With two events scheduled for Saturday, 15th June 2024, including a winemaker’s lunch and walkabout tasting. Each event promises an unforgettable experience for wine novices, enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. The wines available showcase the approaches that make each winery unique.

The festivities kick off with a spectacular Winemaker’s Lunch (13:00-15:00) hosted in the lush garden oasis of Renegade winery. Priced at £65 (£60 earlybird) per person, attendees will be treated to an immersive dining experience, fuelled by a summer feast with each winemaker personally presenting and pairing their wines.

In celebration of Pride Month, the lunch will also be hosted by the inimitable TV Presenter and radio host Aidy Smith (@sypped), a leading voice and advocate for diversity and inclusion in the wine industry. A raffle with proceeds going to PrideWide and ADHD Foundation will also give attendees the chance to walk away with wines from each winery. Alongside Aidy will be industry champion and Evening Standard Food & Drinks Editor, Joanna Taylor, to fuel the afternoon with some wonderful words during the lunch.

The second half of the day will consist of a more relaxed walkabout tasting from 15:30 to 20:00. Guests can explore and chat through a selection of each winemaker’s personal favourites. Priced at £20 (£15 earlybird) per person (includes the wine tasting), this relaxed part of the day offers a dynamic opportunity to engage with the winemakers, learn about their craft, and relax into the evening amongst the twinkly tanks and barrels of Renegade.

Throughout the day, a bar takeover will feature a selection of wines from each urban winery, providing guests with the chance to purchase their favourite glasses or bottles on-site. Additionally, Renegade’s bar and kitchen will remain open into the evening, offering their excellent seasonal menu to complement the wine experience.
