Bluestone Vineyard unveils new look for English Wine Week
Wiltshire’s Bluestone Vineyard has unveiled a new look in time for English Wine Week (15th to 23rd June 2024).
The stripped-back, sustainable new design of the logo and labels, and the removal of the neck foil, now represent the premium quality of the English sparkling wine in the bottle.
The new look also coincides with the release of Bluestone’s first wine made from its estate-grown fruit – Premier Cuvée 2019.
Bluestone Vineyards was established in 2016 by brothers Nathaniel and Toby McConnell. The boutique producer of vintage-led sparkling wine primarily focuses on its Wiltshire vineyards. Hard work, dedication and an intimate knowledge of the site and its vines drive the quality of the fruit resulting in premium English sparkling wines.
Winemaker Nathaniel McConnell says: “The wine is excellent and we wanted to do it justice and bring the packaging up to the standard of the liquid in the bottle. The timing worked perfectly for the release of our first wine made from our own fruit.”
Working with wine industry specialists Amphora Design, the team led by Neil Tully MW created the angular front label is the shape of the vineyard when viewed from above.
The roundel logo represents a sense of place with the inclusion of grapes from the vineyard and the peacock is a nod to the family’s neighbouring rare breeds farm. Even the iconic Salisbury Cathedral spire can be spotted on close inspection.
The stone colour and the quality and texture of the paper, as well as the removal of a lot of information on the label, represent a cleaner and more authentic premium feel to the Bluestone Vineyard range.
The 2019 Premier Cuvée is now available priced at £45 per single bottle from www.bluestonevineyards.co.uk
