We help drive the momentum. WineGB is at the heart of our international category wide story. We take a targeted top ten markets approach to deepen connections with our most important trading partners. We are making business happen at the large trade shows and by working in partnership with the UK’s embassies and through the Government’s international marketing GREAT campaign.  

We are taking advantage of the global interest in our product as the newest cool climate wine producer in the world. We support members with intelligence, research, briefings, and networking across exporters.

Recent past activations

2025 

  • Trade and Press Tasting, Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • Trade and Press Tasting, Helsinki, Finland.
  • In store tastings, LCBO, Canada.
  • ProWein, Dusseldorf – back in the New World Hall perhaps the most energetic of all the areas, we launched our first category showcase offering further insight into the breadth of our wines and supported the members representing their own wines. 
  • VinExpo, Paris – our first exhibition in Paris. Over 1,500 glasses of wine were tasted by the hundreds of trade visitors and international buyers to the stand from all corners of the globe. We were also joined by Andrew Dalgleish, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Paris who pledged the Embassy’s support to deepen our impact and to fly the flag in France.  
  • It is a big year for Japan and a core market for UK wines. The 20205 Expo is taking place in Osaka, Kansai from 13 April to 13 October 2025. Food and drink producers and nations are showcasing their products in this global jamboree. We supported Jancis Robinson MW’s Tokyo tasting on 12 April 2025.

2024 

  • ProWein, Dusseldorf, 2024 – we used worked with GREAT for a co-branded stand, with off-stand activation and advertising supporting our record breaking 12 producer attendees (double the previous largest). 
  • Embassy tastings in Copenhagen and Stockholm for 100 press and trade per event with 20+ producers in attendance.  
  • Seminar and tasting at the British embassy in Tokyo for 50 press and trade and 6 producers. 
  • Taste of Napa Festival – 200+ consumers and 6 participating producers. 
  • Californian inbound influencer trip. 
  • Producer value-in-kind donations for embassy events in New York and Washington. 
  • Recruitment of participating producers for British Wine Festival at the embassy in Warsaw.
