Samantha’s Vineyard is located on the gently undulating plateaus outside of Braintree. The five-acre vineyard is family-owned and operated in the quiet Essex country side and is uniquely situated on south-facing slopes adjoining Pod’s brook. The loamy soil, interspersed with gravel, provides for vigorous vine growth and good drainage. This boutique vineyard was planted in 2020 with 4500 vines (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Meunier) devoted to sparkling wine and about 1700 vines of Bacchus were planted in 2021. The first harvest, intended for sparkling wine, was completed in 2022 with the first Bacchus grapes expected in 2023.
