Realising a dream in the Cotswolds

Little Pinnolds is located in Waterley Bottom, a steep sided valley cut into the Cotswold Escarpment south of Dursley in Gloucestershire.  Following the purchase of about one Hectare of pasture land in March 2015, complete with a small stone barn, an award winning holiday cottage was created looking onto our vineyard.  The location of the vineyard is in a small sheltered combe facing south at about 100m absl.

Early in May 2016, two thousand seven hundred vines were planted and the following year the trellising installed. Four varieties are planted (approximately 650 each of Seyval Blanc, Solaris, Rondo and Cabernet Cortis) and are pruned to the Double Guyout system. Frost and Deer damage in 2017 have been addressed and the future looks fair for our first crop in 2019
