Nestled in the Vale of York, Dunesforde is a four-acre, boutique vineyard established by the Townsend family in 2016. Working in harmony with the cool climate, the family’s aim is to produce fruit of the highest quality to make distinctive, characterful wines in one of the most northerly vineyards in the UK.

Using inspiration drawn from the vineyards in Tuscany and the local Roman heritage, planting began near the family home in Upper Dunsforth, North Yorkshire. The land is now home to four grape varieties, all carefully selected because of their suitability to this northern location - Bacchus, Solaris, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir Précoce.
