Chet and Waveney Valley Vineyard Ltd

The Chet & Waveney Valley Vineyard began life as a traditional farm; the tasting rooms originally stabled the horses of Fred Hemmant, a well-known horseman and connoisseur of stirrup cups. The vineyard is nestled in this tranquil rural setting that is pastoral Bergh Apton, situated close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border. John, the winemaker, and his wife Bridget are growing several different types of grapes, that are used for making premium award winning English Sparkling wines. We offer tours of the family run boutique vineyard and wine tastings of our artisan wines in the Chet Tasting rooms. Our picturesque setting and terroir offers a unique climate. The high UK average sunshine hours of Norfolk together with the lowest rainfall in England ensures good ripening of the grapes. The sea breezes give rise to a low incidence of vine disease, allowing our grapes to ripen beautifully. Open for vineyard tours and wine tastings by appointment. Cellar door sales of Chet vineyard wines available. Please ring ahead to book on 01508 333002 or email chetandwaveney.vineyard@gmail.com
