Hattingley Valley, the family-owned Hampshire winery specialising in award-winning English sparkling wines, has announced the launch of STILL, its first range of premium still wines, with a 2019 Rosé and a 2016 Pinot Noir.

A light and elegant wine from the 2019 vintage, the limited edition STILL Rosé (RRP £14) is made from Pinot Noir Précoce, sourced from prime Kent and Berkshire vineyards and will be released in early April. Using fruit picked just before rainfall, the wine is processed in the saignée method and fermented in stainless steel tanks for five months, giving it a delicate yet vibrant acidity, dry with refreshing notes of red fruit.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the 2016 STILL red wine, set to be released later this year, uses only the ripest black grapes picked from the best vines. Fermented on the skins for two weeks, before being transferred to French oak barrels, where it is aged for a further three years, the full-bodied wine tastes of rich dark berry fruit with notes of smoke.

A small batch production of only 8,000 bottles, the wines will be available to purchase from www.hattingleyvalley.com, Enotria & Coe and at independent retailers throughout the UK.
