Support & Networking

There are lots of opportunities to meet fellow growers and producers, both at organised events like our conferences and at informal regional get-togethers. There are also many specialist groups which form our Management Advisory Committee (MAC), consisting of volunteer members with a shared passion or valuable experience in different areas. In addition, our Partners and Patrons are always willing to provide advice and support as part of the services they offer.

Conferences

WineGB organises technical conferences each year with internationally renowned speakers and acknowledged experts in their fields. Attendees often include overseas visitors giving the opportunity to exchange ideas and experience globally. Conferences are generally open to all, with members paying a substantially discounted rate.

Regions

The seven regional associations play a very important part in the structure of our industry. Most run their own annual competitions and facilitate knowledge sharing, drive regional marketing initiatives, organise social and networking events, and much more. The regions also represent their members at a national level.

New members automatically join at least one region and are free join more if they wish.

Management Advisory Committee

The Management Advisory Committee (MAC) comprises a number of working groups each with its own leader. The leaders of all the groups meet as the MAC four times each year. The working groups are almost entirely comprised of volunteers and the group leaders, in particular, give a great deal of their time, energy and expertise, for which WineGB is very grateful.

The MAC groups do a huge amount of work to help to drive the industry forwards, and they provide very significant benefits to the membership and are always looking for willing volunteers to join them.
