English Wine Week highlights English wines and their wide availability across the country through retail outlets – from supermarkets to independent wine merchants – and hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants.

Importantly, vineyards will also be opening their doors to welcome visitors, offering tours, tastings, special offers and many other attractions.

We will be running a social media competition on Instagram and Facebook to promote English Wine Week, announcing the winner at the end of the week – details of how to enter will be on the channels.

Sussex Reserve is the “field blend” of our estate, combining old vine Riesling-style German varietals with Pinot Noir. With tremendous freshness and wild fruit flavours, it is crisp, dry, and aromatic. A celebratory treat from the wonderful vintage of 2018, in a special edition elegant Magnum.

To celebrate English Wine Week, Albourne Estate will be offering visitors to our Tasting Room 20% off our sparkling and still wine tasting flights to encourage them to sample the range of fantastic English wines we have on offer and perhaps find a new favourite!

Each of our flights consists of three wines and comes with detailed tasting notes to enable visitors to appreciate and explore stylistic differences. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tasting Room staff are always also on hand to give advice and answer questions.

Our wine tasting flights are an enjoyable and relaxed way to learn more about English wines whilst drinking in the views from our Tasting Room balcony. Our Tasting Room is open every Friday (4pm-9pm), Saturday (11am-6pm) and Sunday (11am-5pm) until the end of September.

Àclèaf Restaurant, Devon
Àclèaf and Gusbourne Paired Dining

The newly awarded MICHELIN star restaurant Àclèaf in Devon are offering an exclusive menu paired with a selection of hand-picked wines from English winemaker Gusbourne for English Wine Week.

Running 17th – 23rd June the exclusive tasting menu includes Crab, curry, mango paired with Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2018, Turbot, clams, vanilla paired with Gusbourne Chardonnay Guinevere 2020, LAMB, date, preserved lemon paired with Gusbourne Pinot Nior 2020 and finally raspberry, peach, almond paired with Gusbourne Rose Brut 2018.

Four-courses £200, including wine pairings.

English Wine Week Set Menu

At The Alice, we’re passionate about showcasing the best British suppliers and supporting local growers, farmers and winemakers. In celebration of English Wine Week, enjoy our Set Menu paired with some fantastic English wines.

Enjoy three unique English wines from fantastic producers Coates & Seely and Balfour, accompanied by delicious dishes from our set menu, with two-courses and two wines for £41, or three-courses and three wines for £55.

Celebrating English Wine Week all week!

English wine specialists, Corkk, in conjunction with Whitefriars Canterbury, are putting on an English Wine Week event throughout the duration of English Wine Week.

Situated in the open space in Whitefriars (between Boots and Fenwick Canterbury), there will be a bar serving a wide selection of English wines, an event marquee for talks and tastings and potentially a small shop.
