Lewes, in the heart of Sussex Winelands, is set to raise a glass to English Wine Week with the return of a one-week long WINELANDS.LEWES festivalof pop-up wine events.
Taking place from 8 – 13 June 2026 to showcase wines from Sussex accross a range of producers new to long established, large and small.
Inclusive and diverse, participation is free at the Grand Tasting on Saturday 13th June where consumers will pay just £5 for the opportunity to taste wines from many producers.

Highlights include:

10th June at 7pm – dinner at Squisito www.squisito.co.uk/events
An exceptional food and wine pairing dinner, showcasing some of England’s most exciting wines alongside a bespoke seasonal menu from the Squisito kitchen. The evening will take guests through the remarkable story and philosophy behind Sugrue South Downs, while enjoying thoughtfully paired dishes designed to complement each pour.
Victoria will lead the conversation with the effusive Dermot Sugrue and will also find some time to table hop, so have your questions ready!

11th June at 6pm – Sour Grapes Film and Tasting at the Depot www.lewesdepot.org/film/winelands-sour-grapes
A special one-off screening of Sour Grapes at the Depot cinema, followed by a unique spot-the-fake wine tasting and afterparty.
Presented by director Jerry Rothwell, Sour Grapes is a documentary exploring how notorious wine fraudster Rudy Kurniwan befriended rich and powerful wine collectors to sell fake wine.

The wine industry in Sussex is leading the way in sustainable practices in the vineyard and winery. In this masterclass, four top Sussex vinegrowers and winemakers will present their wines and describe how they use a range of vinegrowing and winemaking strategies to conserve natural resources, protect ecosystems, and ensure social equity.
