Join the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation for our final UK One Block Challenge™ Field Day of 2026, hosted by the Silverhand Estate team.
This field day also marks one year since the launch of the UK One Block Challenge™, so we will look at what has changed in the first twelve months, what is working on the ground, and where growers want to go next.
This is open to everyone interested in trying regenerative viticulture. If you're curious about regenerative viticulture, this is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow growers, learn from real-world experience, and see regenerative farming in action.
If you're already participating in the 1BC come ready to plan year 2. We'll be joined by Matt Robson from Harrow & Hope as we dive deeper into how to kickstart soil biology to build soil fertility.
Silverhand are generously supplying tea and coffee from 9:30 and lunch from 12:00 afterwards
We look forward to seeing you there!
One Block Challenge™ Field Days are open to all winegrowers eager to learn, exchange ideas, and explore regenerative farming with peers and invited experts. To preserve a collaborative, learning-focused environment, solicitation and sales activity are not permitted.
Parking will be at the Pop-up Pub car park.

About the One Block Challenge™
The One Block Challenge™, developed by the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation and piloted in Paso Robles in February 2025, gives growers a low-risk, practical entry point into regenerative agriculture. Participants commit one vineyard block—or even a few rows—to trial selected regenerative practices for a single season. Each grower chooses from a regionally adapted menu that may include diverse cover crops, compost applications, removing herbicides, reducing tillage, and integrating livestock. Baseline and year-end soil assessments help participants understand the changes on their block and decide whether to expand these practices more widely.
The One Block Challenge is now active in California in Napa, Santa Barbara, Sonoma, SLO Coast, Mendocino, and Temecula, and internationally in New Zealand, Chile, France, Portugal, South Africa, and Texas!
About the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation
The Regenerative Viticulture Foundation (RVF) is a UK-registered charity that advocates for the global transition to regenerative farming in vineyards. Its work focuses on translating science into practice and supporting growers in adopting methods that restore soil health, increase biodiversity, and strengthen vineyard resilience. The One Block Challenge exemplifies RVF’s broader work to accelerate the adoption of regenerative practices worldwide. RVF’s goal is for 10 % of the world’s vineyards to be managed regeneratively by 2035. Its mission is to inspire and empower the transition towards regenerative viticulture through science, communication, and support for growers. Learn more at regenerativeviticulture.org
