Freelance wine writer and former marketing and PR director, Bronwen Batey DipWSET has launched an online mini masterclass: Working Effectively with the Media. Designed for small to medium-sized wineries, vineyards and drinks brands, the mini masterclass offers practical tips and insights to engage the media, elevate their stories and accelerate brand awareness.

Recognising the constraints faced by small to medium-sized wine businesses, Bronwen’s mini masterclass provides cost-effective, concise, pre-recorded videos that share advice and useful know-how for working more effectively with the media. Each beginner-friendly video chapter is tailored for businesses who may not have the budget or capacity for a PR agency or in-house PR team. Each chapter of this mini masterclass offers a toolkit for effective media management, drawn from Bronwen’s own experience as well as insights from journalists, communicators and PR specialists consulted during its development.

Bronwen brings a unique perspective to the sector, shaped by senior roles in hospitality PR and marketing and her work as a freelance wine and travel writer. With a WSET Diploma, experience across four grape harvests, and time as a cellar-door tour and tasting host in the UK and Australia, she has first-hand understanding of the value and challenges wine producers face when working with the media.

The mini masterclass – Working Effectively with the Media – comprises of 10 pre-recorded video chapters, each averaging just over 20 minutes in length. The complete series or individual chapters can be purchased via Bronwen’s website www.screwtopsandcorks.com
