New Kids on The Block | English, Natural Wines and the Trailblazers that Make them – Palate Bottle Shop Ltd – Shoreham-By-Sea

As part of English Wine Week, we’re shining a light on the lesser know producers of natural wines made in our stereotypically cool and wet climate.

I’m pretty sure that by now, you all know that English Wine is no longer a source of mockery, and if you’re lucky, you might have had the chance to try some British bubbles or trodden the flint-packed, chalky soils of Sussex that have put us in line for a Champagne doppelgänger.

BUT for this tasting we wanted to highlight the smaller producers who are putting nature first and battling the British elements with little to no chemicals in the vineyard or winery. Championing biodiversity, experimenting with varietals and techniques and putting nature at the heart of winemaking.

If you are fan of natural wines then jump right in, or if you’ve yet to explore, come with an open mind and an open palate—these are real wines with little to no additions that reflect the genuine terroir of our climate and our land.

The tasting will include a guided tasting of 7 samples of still and sparkling wines and some light nibbles. We recommend that you eat dinner first but do let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements in the notes section when you book.
