Vineyards, wineries, retailers and hospitality venues across the country are coming together to celebrate English Wine Week, running 20th-28th June, with a full line up of events designed to showcase the quality, character and creativity of home-grown wines.
English Wine Week is a national initiative led by WineGB, highlighting the rapid growth of English wines and encouraging people to discover the producers and vineyards on their doorsteps. Vineyards and wineries across the UK are also offering unforgettable experiences – a rich way to enjoy the moment, blending beautiful landscapes, local food and activities, that go far beyond the glass.

This year’s activity aligns with WineGB’s Create New Traditions campaign, inspiring consumers to enjoy English wine and build new rituals around local products.
You can get involved by:
- Trying a new English wine – it’s stocked in many supermarkets and independent wine merchants
- Visiting a vineyard and enjoying a new experience https://winegb.co.uk/producer-directory/
- Choosing English wine when dining out
- Supporting producers through direct purchases
- Sharing experiences on social media to help raise awareness using the #DrinkEnglishWine
Nicola Bates, WineGB CEO said: “English Wine Week is one of the many moments that shine a light on the incredible progress and ambition of the industry, but the story of English wine extends beyond a single week. Our producers are crafting wines of exceptional quality all year round, driving innovation, sustainability and a thriving rural economy. Yet this growth is not without challenges, and we all have a role in supporting and future-proofing the industry to ensure it continues to thrive for years to come.
“We want people to discover, enjoy and champion these wines and visit our vineyards, not just during this celebration, but as part of their new rituals. The growth of our sector reflects a long-term commitment to excellence.”
