WineGB Appoints Head of Communications & Marketing to Strengthen Industry Voice
WineGB has announced the appointment of Kirsty Rushby as its Head of Communications & Marketing – a strategic hire that reflects the rapid growth of the UK wine industry and the organisation’s commitment to delivering strong coordinated communications across the sector.
In this new role, Rushby will lead WineGB’s marketing and communications strategy, with a focus on elevating the profile of the sector, championing producers, and amplifying the industry’s unique narrative of quality, innovation and growth. Working closely with producers, regional associations and trade partners, Kirsty will sit as part of the WineGB leadership team, raising awareness and driving support for the industries’ expansion, achievements and opportunities, at a pivotal moment for the fast‑growing English and Welsh wine industry.
The role was extremely popular reflecting the appetite for the UK wines. Kirsty beat over 450 applicants for the role who applied to tell the story of the world’s fastest growing and most on trend quality wine category.

Rushby joins WineGB following 11 years at Co‑op, where she held senior roles across its marketing, PR and communication teams within its food and wholesale business. During her tenure, she has a track record of shaping compelling brand stories, leading high‑impact media relations, and delivering integrated campaigns that resonated across trade and consumer audiences, as well as leading the PR and profile strategy for the wine category.
