WineGB is pleased to announce a new and improved format for its 2025 National Trade & Press tasting. As interest and enthusiasm for wines from England and Wales continues to grow, the annual WineGB tasting is moving to a central London location and will be taking place on Monday 8th September.
8 Northumberland Avenue is the tasting’s new home, a larger venue with more space, spread across 2 floors and most importantly is centrally located in the heart of Zone 1. A return to a Monday for this event is in response to trade feedback, to attract more key visitors from both the off and on-trade sectors.
The aim of this trade and press tasting is to focus on storytelling, education and what makes English and Welsh wine so unique. Exhibitor tables will be mapped and grouped geographically, encouraging a natural experiential journey through our home nation wine regions and all that they offer. The number of registered exhibitors is up on 2024, with 21 new or returning producers to the event.*
In addition there will be themed tasting tables with one dedicated to this year’s WineGB Awards trophy winners and regional champions, including WineGB’s first-ever 99 point wine awarded to Dorset’s Langham Wine Estate, which gained eight trophies in all.
A new feature for the relaunch of the WineGB National Trade and Press Tasting will be a series of masterclasses which will run throughout the day, more details of these will be published in due course.
CEO of Wine GB, Nicola Bates, comments: “With a record number of visitors to last year’s Trade Tasting, we are confident that a more central London location and a move back to Monday, plus the new event features will make this year’s tasting the best yet. These are very exciting times for English & Welsh wines, we look forward to welcoming the trade to our new format tasting, a time for us celebrate the work of these incredible producers.”
