Protecting and enhancing the health of our soil

Terlingham Vineyard is a boutique, natural vineyard making unique, award-winning wines and gin, located in the Kent North Downs, overlooking the English Channel. We are completely family owned and run, and do all the farming ourselves, in the most eco-friendly and sustainable way possible. We have been running for just over 12 years and have loved every moment of this incredible adventure. Last year we were accredited with SWGB and as part of this, we had our carbon footprint audited. It was measured as negative 12 tonnes, so we are a significant carbon sink for the area.

We want to commit to this pledge because it fits perfectly with what we are most passionate about – making outstanding English wine, that is also sustainable and good for the earth.

Terlingham’s Pledge

This year, we will be focusing on protecting and enhancing the health of our soil. We will be planting clover and bee-friendly wildflowers throughout the vineyard. This will naturally put nitrates back into the soil, as well as supporting our local bee population.
