Carr Taylor Wines is one of the UK’s oldest vineyards having been established in 1971.

We have farmed the same site for over 50 years and as custodians of the land have an enormous responsibility to its continued health and fertility. Every year we take steps to improve and enhance the growing environment for the long term sustainability of the local ecosysytem.

Carr Taylor’s Pledge

We pledge for the Kings Coronation, as part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, to improve the condition of all our hedgerows throughout the vineyard.

This will be though better management, attention to infilling gaps and even planting tree standards where appropriate. More attention will be placed on the species mix and increasing/ improving the diversity of plants within, to maximise the benefits of hedgerows as wildlife corridors, insect and bird refuges as well as enhancing the natural aesthetics of the site.
